Chicken paint.

Computer paint that is. I love all the colors she chose and am seriously thinking of printing it out to a pretty big size. What I love even more is that when she finished she said " Ok, can you make it come out of the computer now."

Last week we.....

Teething hurts!

Saturday morning cartoons:

Chicken got in trouble in school, so we took a away TV rights and her beloved dolls,stuffed animals, babies and blankets. I think she had a lot more fun doing more of what she loves: dancing, painting, singing, and listening to music. The earlier bedtime (7 pm vs. 8 pm) has also been working out better for her, as she has finally been sleeping through the night consistently in her bed!

This is also why I've been missing all week, I'm exhausted from keepin her busy with activities! We will be keeping the early bedtime, and limiting TV to an hour after school, instead of letting her watch it right before bedtime. I think it has really helped her sleep more soundly.

H proposed back in 2007.  I was months away from having our first baby. I was a hungry, pregnant mess. H and my family told me we were all going out to eat. They came over so that we could all go to dinner together, but H was taking forever. You should NEVER keep a pregnant woman waiting on food! I was getting annoyed, and hunger was setting in fast. I put in my "Where are you?! I'm hungry!!!" call, and he showed up with flowers and a gift. I just assumed they were flowers for the house and an early Valentines day gift. But then he nervously and sweetly proposed!!!! and I was totally surprised!!! 

Years later, the boy still drives me crazy, we love, laugh, argue like old folks, I like to think I bring out the silly in him and he is my perfect fit.

Self Portrait - Day 1

and not a very good one. sleep deprived self-portrait. I am starting a photo challenge again to see if I can commit to one photo a day, I started one last month but slowly fell off.. So here we go again...

Also, I would like to mention that this is me going to work. With makeup on. Which doesn't happen very often. I'm trying to get back to it everyday, it makes me feel more put together. I have my elderly patients to thank for this. In pain, and sometimes with cognitive deficits they never forget their red lipstick, pantyhose, and to brush their hair. It's a generational thing, and though most of my days you will find me in scrubs, no makeup, and hair looking a mess, I am making a conscious effort to make myself look a little more put together. Even in scrubs! Because it makes me feel better and I forgot how fun it is to play with makeup!
